The Greater Manchester Clean Air Zone mandates that all Hackney Taxis must meet Euro 6 standards by the end of 2026.

Over the last three years, the HJS Euro 6 SCR retrofit has been successfully installed by Cybrand on more than 1,200 vehicles in the UK.

A final decision from Manchester Council and TfGM regarding potential grant funding for the retrofit conversion is anticipated before the end of 2025.

What is Retrofitting?

The HJS Euro 6 retrofit is an SCR (Adblue) system that can be fitted to most Euro 5 Hackney Taxi applications. It is fully approved under the Energy Saving Trust CVRAS Approval. See how it works here.

Where are we located?

Our installation and service centre is located just outside Chester, less than 40 miles from Manchester City Centre. Full installation takes 1-2 days including certification.

We are close to main rail links and the M53/M56 interchange.
