The London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) has already impacted thousands of Land Rover Defender owners since April 2019.  Cybrand AEC, in conjunction with HJS Emission Technology & Co GmbH completed development of a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system that will elevate Euro 5 models to the required Euro 6 rating.  Without this, owners will be required to pay a daily charge for entering the London zone.

In October 2021, the charging zone will expanded further to the wider Low Emission Zone, with borders just inside the M25.

Along with London, many towns and cities across the UK have introduced similar Low Emission Zones or Clean Air Zones, or have indicated plans to do so over the coming months. This will mean drivers of any diesel vehicles euro 5 or lower, will be heavily penalised.

SCR Retrofit is currently the only economical option available for the out-going Defender model. Alternatives are currently limited to installing a new Euro 6 engine or purchasing a Euro 6-compliant vehicle.

Our donor vehicle (see image above) is fully equipped with the HJS SCR technology, and on 21st January 2020 was awarded full German ABE/ECE type approval following successful 'real world' emissions testing.
