Catalytic Converters / DOC's for Heavy Duty Applications

Cybrand announces the introduction of a brand new range of Catalytic Converters for industrial, commercial and heavy duty applications.

Manufactured exclusively for Cybrand, the range consists of a metallic honeycombed substrate coated with an advanced precious metal washcoat for CO and HC reduction. The substrate is enclosed in a robust stainless steel housing.

The effect of the catalytic coating causes an oxidation of the most hazardous gases, Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Hydrocarbons (HC) to form less harmful Carbon Dioxide and water.

The full range is available ‘cash & carry’, or pre-built in to our Industrial and Marine Silencers (link).

Applications

The catalyst is suited to any diesel engine application, in particular those applications operating in confined environments such as warehouses, aircraft hangars, mines etc. Typical applications are access platforms, generator sets and forklifts.

Installation

Catalytic converters are dependent on high temperature to operate at full efficiency. It is essential that fitment is as close as possible to the engine exhaust manifold or turbo. At Cybrand, we can incorporate catalysts in to all of our Industrial and Marine silencers, or supply joints, couplings and adapters to suit your own requirements. If not incorporated in to a new silencer, the original silencer system is left in place.

Life

The life of the Catalytic Converter is theoretically unlimited. Lifespan will only be compromised by unforeseen operating conditions such as poorly maintained engines and excessive engine vibration.
